Easy Lesson 5 Adding Shadows to Your Level

Using this approach it is easy to bring a 3 dimensional look to your 2 dimensional level. It is definitely worth the extra effort.

  • Click on Shadows Layer (the word....)
  • Change Tilesize to 24, Dimensions to 32x20.
  • Click "Apply Changes" (Important!!!)
  • Spacebar to open shadow selector.
  • Only one option for shadow (and null to the left)
  • On floor (cement) apply shadow to top and right edges.
  • On walls (brick) apply shadow on south and west edges
  • Don't forget to Save :)
